The Best Life: How do you achieve that for your dog or cat?
  • Feed healthy food, minimally processed, fresh, nutritionally balanced and lots of variety. Provide clean water, does not need to be distilled or low pH, just avoid dirty contaminated water.
  • Avoid too many vaccines. Do not avoid all vaccines, talk to your veterinarian. Discuss things like your pets age, health status, how many vaccines they have had in the past, exposure factors (which diseases might they be exposed to in your area, or not). Discuss vaccine titer testing instead of giving the vaccine.
  • Provide lots of love with lots of petting and attention/ physical contact. Try not to stress out your pet. Do not force them to do things that are upsetting to them or physically too demanding but provide access to good exercise. Make sure you choose a pet that fits your lifestyle, do not choose a chihuahua if you want a running partner.
  • Avoid unnecessary chemicals like long lasting oral flea and tick control products, heartworm prevention injections, Roundup and other yard treatment chemicals. You will not be able to avoid all chemicals they are in the air, in your food packaging, in your water, in the water bowl, etc etc. Your pet may even require prescription medications, which should not be avoided. But you can choose to avoid the chemicals that are avoidable.

“Hopefully we are all capable of following the above advice.
We will all be healthier!”
